About Tracy Byrd
Tracy Byrd was born in Texas on December 17, 1966, to Jerry Lynn and Brenda Vaughn Byrd. He discovered his musical talent right during his business studies at Texas State University. During his time in Beaumont, he joined a local band called Rimfire. Soon after, in 1992, Tracy signed with MCA Records. His first self-titled album earned him one of his most successful songs, Holdin’ Heaven, which reached number one on the Billboard Hot Country Singles and Tracks. A Gold certificate was awarded by the RIAA to his debut album. His second album, titled ‘No Common Man’, proved to be the best-selling album of his career, eventually going double platinum. The song “The Keeper of the Stars” won Country Music Association Song of the Year in 1995. He is also involved in many charities, most notably the annual event, The Tracy Byrd Homecoming Weekend, which he organizes, a fundraising platform for local charities. His most recent work is the 2016 album All American Texas.
Enjoy the Sound of Summer
This year we are proud to partner with Mountain Town Music to host the Summer Concert Series, a six-week outdoor event on the High Star Great Lawn. Every Thursday from June 16 to July 21, bands like Swagger, Honky Blue Tonky and Highline Drifters give their best while being surrounded by the beauty and natural wonders Kamas, Utah has to offer. And the best part? The concerts are free and open to the public and your four-legged friends, so long as they are on a leash.
We also know it wouldn’t be a summer festival without food and drink. To maximize the experience, you can sit outside – In the amazing 3 acre great lawn, on the balcony of State Road Tavern or on the patio of Josephines, available from 5 pm to 10 pm. We look forward to seeing you and the entire family at High Star Ranch.
